Sugar crops
The world raw sugar production is currently in the region in the region of 125 to 130 million tons. The main two sugar producing crops are sugar beet and sugar cane.
Both crops are characterised by a large biomass and dry matter accumulation. Magnesium and sulphur are required for the assimilation of the photosynthetic energy, the transformation, translocation and storage of sugar.
