ESTA Kieserite - refined by K+S KALI GmbH

The crude ore is hoisted by skips in production shafts from the mines to the surface at the rate of up to 30,000 t per day. Above ground the crude ore is crushed for the separation of its components. Employing the best processing technology for a unique raw material, K+S KALI GmbH invented and introduced a technology exclusively utilising the components of the crude salt.

ESTA Kieserite is obtained in an absolutely environmentally friendly dry process using the charges of crushed particles (NaCl, KCl and kieserite) and electrostatic forces in a free-fall separator. This unique procedure is called the ESTA process and the fertilizer obtained, ESTA-Kieserite.

The product leaving the electrostatic separation chambers is either used for direct application as ESTA Kieserite fine, or granulated to form ESTA Kieserite granular which ideally meets the standards for mechanical application or bulk blends. The ESTA Kieserite fine may further be ground to a smaller particle size to be used as a component for compound (NPKMg) fertilizers.
