The appropriate Mg source
Mg sources in agriculture are organic manures (e.g. slurry, FYM) and numerous minerals in which Mg is bound in various forms (e.g. sulphate, carbonate and oxide).
When using different sources, the Mg content of the source, the Mg availability and the nutrient solubility (in the case of mineral fertilizers) have to be considered as well as the interaction with varying soil and site conditions.
